Freedom From Fear is a national not-for-profit mental health advocacy association founded in 1984 by Mary Guardino. The mission of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) is to diminish the burden of mental illness through research. This public health governmental organization offers information on the range of psychiatric disorders.
