Examines Italian culture in its urban, regional, national, and diasporic manifestations. Analyzes authentic texts, from literature to journalism, in the spirit of a cultural studies approach. Fosters advanced reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills that will enable students to understand and critique contemporary Italy with greater ease and sophistication. May be repeated within the degree for a maximum 9 credits.
Recommended Prerequisite: ITAL 330.
