The Center for Psychological Services of George Mason University provides psychological assessment and treatment services to the Northern Virginia community. The Center is a training facility for graduate psychology students and a setting for clinical research investigations.

The Center is staffed primarily by graduate students in the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program and the School Psychology MA, CAGS Program.  All clinical and research services of graduate students are supervised by licensed psychologists or other appropriately credentialed professionals.  The Center for Psychological Services is part of the Department of Psychology at George Mason University.

In accordance with George Mason University and Department of Psychology policy, all incoming graduate students who work at the Center for Psychological Services will be subject to a criminal background investigation before the beginning of the fall semester. 

Services available at the Center for Psychological Services include comprehensive psycho-educational assessments, intellectual assessments, mental health evaluations, consultations, and psychotherapy services.  All services are available for children six years of age and over, and for adolescents, adults, and families.  Services are available by appointment only and the Center does not provide crisis intervention or substance abuse treatment. 

The Center does not accept third party payment. All fees are due at the time service is offered. Please be aware that the University Policy Number 2107 states that money owed to the University by the general public who uses its services and facilities constitutes a legal obligation to the University and the Commonwealth of Virginia and therefore may not be forgiven.

Please be aware that E-mail is not a confidential form of communication. 

Evening and weekend appointments are available.  Center service hours from September through the beginning of May are Monday through Thursday 9:00 am until 9:00 pm; Friday and Saturday 9:00 am until 5:00 pm and Sunday 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.  During the summer (mid May through August), the Center is not open on Sundays, and Saturday hours are until 1:00 pm.  Evening appointments during summer are available on a limited basis.
