As we’ve all been affected by the pandemic over these last two months, the levels of anxiety, depression, and trauma have risen. Frontline responders and essential workers are struggling both emotionally and physically. If you’ve been searching for ways to make a difference, George Mason University's Center for Psychological Services is poised to help our community now more than ever.
The GMU Center for Psychological Services is looking to raise funds to:
With the goal of spreading awareness about the Center, and helping raise funds we have a challenge for you for Mental Awareness Month. We are asking you to run, walk, cycle or roll a 5k for us at any point during the month of May. Do it anywhere it’s safe to: in a park, on a trail, in your backyard, or even in your house! Please remember to maintain social distancing. When you are done, donate $20 to the center onpsyclinic.gmu.edu/give post a picture on your social media, and nominate 5 friends to do the same.
Please use the hashtags #moveforcps #moveformentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness in your post and tag @gmucps. when you challenge your five friends, remind them that the challenge is “move 5k, give $20, nominate 5” and that they can give at psyclinic.gmu.edu/give.
If 20 people complete the challenge and each nominates 5 friends, that’s 120 people taking part and $2,400 raised! Together we can make a difference. Together we are Mason.
Now let's #MoveforCPS!
