Requesting Services

Our Intake Office is typically staffed between the hours of 9am-3pm, Monday-Friday. When you call us during office hours, it is likely that you will need to  leave  a detailed voicemail message. We respond to calls in the order we receive them, and this means that we rarely answer live calls. Alternatively, you may email our office. You may find that we are able to respond to an email faster than a voicemail, as we tend to have a log of voicemails to return. Rest assured, your message is important to us, and one of our staff members will contact you back to provide you with more information about our clinic and our policies. We typically respond to all messages, both email and voicemails, within 24-48 business hours.  Once a staff member contacts you, they will also spend about 15-20 minutes asking you some questions about what kinds of services you're seeking (therapy or assessment) and your current concerns. If it seems likely that we can provide services that are a good match to what you are looking for, you will be quoted a waitlist time for how long we estimate until the next clinician is available.

If your needs would be better met by a different type of service, or if you would like to pursue treatment outside of our Center, we will be happy to give you appropriate referrals.

To receive additional information about Center services, please contact the Intake Office at (703) 993-1370, or email us at psycclin@gmu.edu. Please be aware that E-mail is not a confidential form of communication.
